{"id":2238,"date":"2011-02-11T09:38:46","date_gmt":"2011-02-11T17:38:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wkoopmans.ca\/notebook\/?p=2238"},"modified":"2011-02-22T14:56:12","modified_gmt":"2011-02-22T22:56:12","slug":"seattle-gas-works-park","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wkoopmans.ca\/notebook\/?p=2238","title":{"rendered":"Seattle, Gas Works Park"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I took a day trip to Seattle yesterday, with my Pentax K-7 and some lenses.\u00a0 One of the places I visited while walking from Fremont to the University of Washington was Gas Works Park.\u00a0 It&#8217;s an interesting thing they have done here.\u00a0 You would expect a city to want to remove any evidence of a locations industrial past when converting it into a park but Seattle did the opposite. They preserved much of the structure from what was a coal gasification plant.\u00a0 More info about it&#8217;s interesting history can be found here.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Gas Works Park Wikipedia\"
