Olympus Epic
When it rains, it’s time to grab a water resistant camera. What’s fits in a pocket is water resistant has a “full frame” sensor and can be found second hand for peanuts? It’s the Olympus Stylus Epic. I’m not sure that 35mm cameras ever came any smaller, It really is a marvel.
On the technical side it has a 35mm f2.8 lens made of 4 elements in 4 groups and exposure and focus is fully automatic as well as film loading and rewind. It is truly a “point and shoot”.

Good stuff Wallace, I’ve always thought that the best opportunities come in difficult situations. Like great photos in rainy weather.
We have been having heavy rains here in Guyana, but I’m afraid that my camera is more waterproof than I. I bought a rain coat (one of those yellow plastic ones, but haven’t had a chance to use it yet.
The traffic lights are my favourite of this set. It has a desolate feel that appeals to me.

Thank you, the Olympus Stylus Epic is a 35mm film camera which, to answer your second question, is one of somewhere around 150 of my cameras.

Don’t worry humans are waterproof, at least we don’t seem to melt. Most of my working life has been outdoors and I am used to the rain, but being prepared is always good. Someone once wisely told me any fool can get wet.
